If at any stage of the SAP software life cycle your customer should need to change their operating system and/or database, he/she will need to perform a migration of their SAP system. The Global Online Partners™ SAP OS/DB Migration Service optimally performs this migration and supports the smooth continued operations on the new platform.

Service Scope

 

The SAP OS/DB Migration Service is a combination of applicable Installation and System Copy tasks carried out under the appropriate test schedule to ensure that your customer's SAP solution runs with optimal performance, availability and maintainability in the new OS/DB platform. The service includes:

 

  • Preparing the Primary Application Server (PAS) and the Database  host systems for the installation of the corresponding instances of the Target system.

 

  • Installing Additional Application Server (AAS) instances on application host systems.

 

  • Defining a test plan to verify the migration process.

 

  • Performing migration process Test Runs, including:

 

- Source system Copy Export.

 

- Target system Copy Import.

 

- Target system Level Check and Cleanup.

 

- System tuning and Update Migration Log files.

The SAP OS/DB Migration Service is offered at an attractive fixed price and may be purchased separately or bundled in Standard Solutions by Global Online Partners™. Related services outside the above scope can be supplied as a Standard Service when available or on a time and materials basis.
