The Technical Installation of SAP® HANA enables you to outsource all the work associated with the technical installation of your Customer’s SAP® HANA System to service specialists from Global Online Partners™.

The Technical Installation of SAP HANA includes the following activities:

  • Checking on all technical prerequisites (such as hardware and software requirements) before and during the project
     

  • Complete all pre-installation activities

  • Perform the Installation according SAP® standards and guidelines

  • Executing Post-Installation activities

  • Adjusting and reporting of system logs and profile parameters

 

At the end of the project the SAP Partner receives a report that lists all the activities carried out during the Installation which can be used as a sign-off document for your final customer.

 

When Should the Service Be Used?

 

The Technical Installation of SAP HANA is usually performed during the "Implementation" phase, but can be attained during any phase of the Solution Lifecycle. For proper applicability, we recommend that you verify that your customer:

  • Is at the appropriate time during their first SAP implementation project or,

  • Wants to implement a separate SAP solution or,

  • landscape and,

  • Does not need to build up in-house knowledge for occasional system installations

The Technical Installation of SAP HANA includes the following major activities:

  • Technical pre-requisites verification

Review of Hardware and Software requirements

  • Pre-installation Activities

System Type definition, Selection and download of Software components, File System Layout

  • Installation of the SAP HANA System

Follows the installation procedure as described in the SAP HANA Installation Guide

  • Update the SAP HANA System

Update to the latest Support Package Stack and corresponding version of SAP NetWeaver, if needed

  • Post-installation Activities

First time System Backup, Password Change, Finalize customization

Availability and Cost

 

The Technical Installation of SAP HANA is only available as a private label service for SAP Partners and Service Providers. The service is rendered by Global Online Partners directly to end customers on behalf of your service organization.

The service is offered by Global Online Partners at an attractive fixed price and may be purchased separately or bundled in a Standard Solution. Additional activities such as Unicode Conversion and Authorization Profiles Migration among others are outside the standard scope and may be provided as Standard Services when available or on a time and materials basis.

As per our experience database, the duration of the Technical Installation of SAP HANA is about seven to ten days, depending on the number of SAP HANA Host Systems. Please contact Global Online Partners for current prices and conditions.
